Santa Barbara Winery is the oldest of the more than 100 wineries in Santa Barbara County.  The winery was started in 1962 and is located in downtown Santa Barbara about 2 blocks from the beach.  They have a vineyard called Lafond located near Buellton (remember “Sideways”).  The tasting room in Santa Barbara is nice and quaint with friendly people serving the wine.  The wines are a wide variety of high quality including a Riesling, Nebbiolo and Sangiovese.  If you’re visiting Santa Barbara or live in Southern California you should definitely check out the Santa Barbara Winery.
