B.R. Cohn Winery in Carneros Sonoma
Bruce Cohn discovered and still manages the Doobie Brothers rock band and opened this winery in 1984. The winery is family owned and the vineyard is the 90 acre Olive Hill Estates. B.R. Cohn’s signature wine is the award winning Olive Hill Cabernet Sauvignon. By the way, they also make world class olive oils and vinegars. I really liked their tasting room with its variety of décor on the walls, friendly atmosphere and mementos to their recently departed Winery Ambassador, their dog “Moose.” The friendly folks here even recommended I visit another winery, Robledo, which I did on my way out of Carneros. B.R. Cohn is located closer to Sonoma near a scenic wooded area right on Sonoma Hwy.
