Gloria Ferrer Winery in Carneros Sonoma

Gloria Ferrer is the place to go if you like really good California sparkling wine.  The winery is located in the beautiful Carneros area toward Sonoma and the area is perfect terrain and climate for the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown here.  Many people don’t realize that a large percentage of sparkling wines are made from Chardonnay and/or Pinot Noir grapes so it only makes sense that Gloria Ferrer also makes good still Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.  The tasting room is big and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.  I also found this winery very scenic.  If you step out onto the deck you have a nice view of the beautiful vineyards on this property.
