Schug Winery in Carneros Sonoma

Schug Winery is just off Hwy 121 (Arnold Drive) north of the San Pablo Bay toward the beginning of the Carneros region.  Schug is tucked away from the row of wineries on Hwy 121 and has a scenic 50 acre vineyard with a large open view of the immediate region.  The good folks at Gloria Ferrer recommended I visit Schug and I’m glad they did.  Schug is unique to the area in that the building and tasting room have a German style and more of a European feel.  They have a wide variety of good wines including a Rose and Cab Franc in addition to Chardonnay, Cab, Pinot, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc.
